How to open .PDF files in order to print through TaxSlayer Books

While going through the steps of creating a payroll check, you will have a menu that asks if your printer is ready.

Once you select "Print", your browser is going to want to know how to handle the processing of this file. In order to immediately view the file, you will want to select to "Open" the file rather than "Save" the file. You will also see the "Did the check print correctly" box. This box should not be answered until AFTER you physically print the check.

Each browser handles the process of opening the check in a slightly different manner. Below, we have included illustrations of each browser's process. In most cases, the "Open" and "Save" options will appear at the bottom of your browser window.

Google Chrome: With Chrome, you will click the drop down arrow in the box and select "Open".

Mozilla FireFox: Please note, FireFox defaults to "Save File". You will have to select "Open with" and then "Ok".

Internet Explorer:
